Kathleen Jarvis is a seasoned actress, singer, and model. She was born and raised an hour outside of Los Angeles, in Ventura, California. When she was cast in her first musical at age 9, she was hooked. Within a year, she was already walking the runway for Macy's and auditioning for commercials. She spent all of her time performing in local musicals, taking voice lessons, and dance classes. When college came around, Kathleen decided the The Hartt School's BFA Musical Theatre program had her "Hartt". Well, that was until the movie La La Land changed her life. During her first summer back home after her freshman year, she watched La La Land for the first time and everything changed. She realized that you can take the girl out of California, but you can't take the California out of the girl.
Kathleen decided to shift her focus to acting and acting alone. She enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and continued training there. She studied all of the great acting techniques & methods. She studied movement, voice, and the business. It was a wild ride and she loved every second of it. While attending AADA, she rediscovered her love for modeling after posing for a few of her photographer friends. Soon after, she was signed with STATE Model Management. She worked as a model for a few years, as she finished school.
Then came the COVID-19 Pandemic, she graduated during this time and opted to move home for a bit while the world was frozen. Luckily for her, her family home was still close enough to Los Angeles for to stay connected. During this time, she was involved in classes on Zoom with BGB Studio and The Groundlings. This helped her stay sharp, stay creative, and stay sane during such an uncertain time. When the pandemic began to dissapate, she was quickly cast in a leading role for the world premiere of a new play called "Junk Girls" at the Zephyr Theatre in Hollywood. She continued to study with BGB Studio, The Groundling, and Killian's Workshop. In 2022, she was cast in the lead of a new short film titled, "In the Wash". For the past year, the film has participated in many film festivals and has received numerous awards.
Kathleen currently works for Rubicon Theatre Company in Ventura, CA. She has been cast in many of their productions from A Christmas Carol, to the world premiere reading of Dark of the Moon, and Almost, Maine. In July of 2023, she was married to her true love of 8 years, Parker Harris. He is also an actor and together they form a creative powerhouse. Together, they are working to create a series of short films and are planning on producing "Constellations" by Nick Payne this winter.
